Charleston’s SC Stingrays are putting the focus on the environment tonight as they host the Charlotte Checkers. For the first time in East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) history, tonight’s game will be carbon-neutral thanks to the purchase of carbon credits to offset the energy use for the game.
edit: And they win 3-2 in a shootout!

What a great example to set for the community. And you get to watch your Kelly Cup defending Stingrays!
It’s no secret I’m a big hockey fan. It’s a great sport that is new to most of my friends here, but everyone I’ve ever taken to a game has had a great time.
Go Rays!
